Voices in Heaven
...Dedicated to the Lord, Jesus Christ
This is the longest page of the site. However, I believe it is an important topic.
Rejection is a horrible feeling that I believe every single one of us have felt. It will take you mentally into places, leaving you feeling as if it is almost too dark to climb out. Sometimes even those closest to us, ones that are normally meant to love us or even Biblically called to love us like Christ does the Church, seem to do the extreme opposite.
Let us take a step back for a moment. The compassion of Christ is seen all throughout the New Testament. Learning more of His compassion is where I feel He has been leading me. His compassion extends far greater than I believe most of us can see.
During my "Valley," the Lord took what was meant for evil and opened my eyes to a greater understanding of how deep His love is for even those that are doing the rejection and inflicting the pain (Genesis 50:20). He tells us to not repay evil for evil (1 Peter 3:9), and, "vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord." (Romans 12:19)
Remember when Christ was hanging on the Cross and He spoke directly to The Father in Heaven, and He asked Him to "forgive them, they know not what they do. (Luke 23:24)?" I'm not saying what they did was right, but imagine the kind of love that takes you PAST your own suffering, and into the arms of The Father who takes away the inflicted pain, into a place of forgiveness far greater than normal human understanding! His love can comfort you. When He instructs us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:44), He is saying that for our own good. We no longer need to prove anything when we receive the mindset that we are loved and accepted by the God of all creation! The fruits of the spirit; Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and self control (Galatians 5:22) become more evident when we allow the Holy Spirit to take over.
Trust Him, and continue to remind yourself to trust, as I do as well. Sure, there will be days the enemy of our soul will remind you of what was spoken or done to you. Tell him to leave, in Jesus name! (James 4:7) You are a child of the Most High God! Satan's plan is to "tap dance on your mind," as I sometimes say. Do not let him! Don't lose sight of the truth found in God's Word! Fight the enemy with the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17). Jesus came to heal us, body and soul, and to set us free from sin, giving us Eternal life with Him. The big picture IS Jesus and HIS Kingdom. Let us be in this World, helping to win the lost, but not be OF the World.
Just remember Jesus, Himself, was rejected and understands (Isaiah 53:3). Take ahold of His hand and let Him show you a new way of viewing those that have hurt you (Isaiah 41:10). It may be a slow process, but you are worth the freedom and worth the love from The Father!
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
